Ottawa County Bluegrass Band

Friday, June 13, 2025 at 1:30PM

The Musical Arts Series will present the Ottawa County Bluegrass Band in a free community concert at the Vineyard Community Center 3820 E. Village Vineyard Dr. at the Parkvue Community on Catawba Island. The concert in celebration of bluegrass, fathers and birthdays will be presented at 1:30 PM.

The Ottawa County Bluegrass Band has been playing together since the late 90s. The band is made up of brothers Dennis and Joe Mitchell and, until his passing in 2022 , their father Joe Mitchell, Sr., all from Port Clinton. Currently the band members are the Mitchell brothers, Danny Bryant from Fostoria, OH and Simon Edwards from Waterville, OH.

The Ottawa County Blue Grass Band has a popular following in the Port Clinton Area, and has appeared at many fairs, festivals, and other venues in Ohio, Michigan and Indiana. They bring their own brand of Bluegrass music and make new fans and friends wherever they go. 

This program is presented with a gift from the Arlene Kakareka Memorial Fund.
